At childrensbook.ai, we take your privacy and your child's privacy seriously. We designed our avatar flow so the original photos you upload are used only to create a custom avatar and are not retained as part of your account.

Photo Handling Promise

We do not store your child's photos. We use the uploaded image solely to generate a custom avatar, and the original photo is permanently deleted immediately after avatar creation.

If temporary processing files are required to complete avatar generation, they are automatically purged as soon as processing finishes and no later than 60 minutes after creation.

What We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the service, including:

• Account information (name, email address)
• Child profile information you enter, such as name, age, and preferences
• Generated avatars and story assets created from your request
• Payment information (processed securely through third-party providers)
• Support or feedback messages you choose to send us

Uploaded source photos are processed for avatar generation only and are not stored as part of your saved account data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create custom avatars and personalized children's books
• Process your orders and manage your account
• Communicate with you about your account and our services

Retention and Deletion

We retain account details, generated avatars, and completed story assets for as long as needed to operate your account and provide the purchased service. We do not retain the original uploaded child photos after avatar creation completes.

Any temporary copy created during processing is deleted immediately after the avatar is generated and is subject to an automatic purge window of no more than 60 minutes.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect account information, generated assets, and payment workflows. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except as needed to operate the service, process payments, or comply with legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

We are especially committed to protecting children's privacy. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing any child-related information uploaded to the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate parental involvement.
